The Washington Post article The Chicago Bulls are still the favorite to win the NBA title, according to a new ESPN poll.
The poll found that 49 percent of respondents believed the Chicago Bulls would win the championship this season, while 37 percent said the Miami Heat would.
In fact, two of the five teams ranked by ESPN to finish the regular season in the top spot, the New Orleans Pelicans and Denver Nuggets, finished the regular seasons with fewer than half the number of wins than the Washington Wizards.
It is not yet known how many people voted in the poll.
ESPN released the results online Monday morning.
The Bulls are the only team with a win over a team in the bottom three of the regular-season standings.
The Lakers and Clippers both lost to the Wizards.
The Cavs, meanwhile, have lost five of their last six games, including a 101-91 loss to the Celtics on Monday night.
The poll was conducted between April 21 and April 25.
It was based on a survey of 1,004 people, with a margin of error of plus or minus 3.5 percentage points.
