My Travel Diary Karnataka

Whenever there is a long weekend, people in Bangalore will be out for a long drive. Am not an exception to this, we plan a trip to one of the weekend getaways from Bangalore well in advance. We leave from Bangalore early in the morning hoping we will avoid the early morning traffic jam, not once we were lucky to avoid the traffic. Most of Bangalore will be on Nice Road heading to one of the resort. We like Jungle Lodges and we will be one of the early birds to make the reservation. In this post am going to take back my mind to Kabini, Bandipur, Coorg and Hampi.

Kabini The drive from Bangalore to Kabini is around 220 kilometres and takes around 5 hours. We went to Kabini around 4 years back. We were not lucky to get our reservations at Jungle Lodges and we ended up staying at Kaav Safari Lodges. We paid a premium for the quality of service and food. This is where I realized going on a holiday to Europe is a better choice economically. Kabini was a total disappointment because we hardly spotted any wildlife. I went on Jungle Lodges Safari two times and both times I was not lucky to spot any wildlife. What I liked about Kabini is the beautiful river and trees presenting nature at its Best.

Bandipur The drive from Bangalore to Bandipur is also around 220 kilometres and takes around 5 hours. What I liked about Bandipur is the proximity to Masinagudi. Masinagudi is in Tamilnadu and Bandipur is in Karnataka, distance between these two places is around 25 kilometres. We went on a holiday to Bandipur around 3 years back, we were lucky to get the reservation at Jungle Lodges. The advantage of staying in Jungle Lodges is the early morning and evening safari part of the package. Jungle Lodges has the permission to drive deep into the forest. Comparatively we were able to see lot of wild life at Bandipur and Masinagudi.

Coorg The drive from Bangalore to Coorg is around 260 kilometres and takes around 6 hours. We had been to Coorg twice, we stayed at Heritage Resort first time and at Club Mahindra second time. First trip was six years back and the second trip was two years back. What was consistent about both my trips was the quality of food at Coorg which was exceptional. There are plenty of places to visit in and around Coorg. We had been to Raja’s Seat, Madikeri Fort, Omkareshwara Temple, Abbey Falls and View Point Park. Tala Cauvery which is considered as the source for River Cauvery is a beautiful drive from Coorg and is around 90 minutes drive. There is also a Tibetan Monastery near Coorg which is a must visit place.

Hampi I always like staying in a village, Hampi is the perfect place for a long weekend. We had been to Hampi three years back. There are plenty of places to see in Hampi. Jungle Lodges is located in a village at Hampi which was the highlight of our trip. We went to Hampi for 3 days and I liked the early morning running and yoga. It is always healthy and nice to run in a village where we can breathe fresh air. One thing we must avoid at Hampi is the tour guides. It makes sense to make use of Google and decide the places we plan to visit for the day.

There are many more nice places by drive from Bangalore to be covered. Hopefully Covid-19 will leave this World soon, we can go back to our normal life and start planning the cool destination when we have a long weekend. Take Care and Be Safe.

Commercial Astrology

Astrology is the study of influence that stars and sun have on human life. It is believed the position of sun, moon, planets and stars at the time of birth will have an influence on someone’s education, career, relationship and other events. Astrology starts with drawing a horoscope based on time and place of birth. With this horoscope, Astrologers predict the future of a person based on the various astronomical position. Even though I have never gone to a Astrologer I had great respect for this science until it became commercial. Horoscope matching of Bride and Groom is something which is given importance even today in Indian Marriages. Whatever our people have done in the past had lot of sense. Whether it is the raahu kaalam, finding auspicious time, drawing the panchangam, constructing a house, temple or anything our people did in the past had lot of meaning, it was done with sense which had sanity. Today, in the name of practicing the same, it is a shame to watch these getting abused by people who hardly know anything about the subject Astrology. There are still few of them who practice Astrology after studying, who doesn’t believe in going to YouTube and who doesn’t make use of it for commercial gains, I have a great respect for them.

I always thought Astrology is used for forecasting someone’s future based on his or her horoscope. I didn’t know Astrology can be used for forecasting about a Nation or a Pandemic like Covid-19. When the Covid-19 numbers started spiking, when we didn’t hear or read anything positive and when the whatsapp universities were busy forwarding without verifying, even I started going through some of the Astrology videos in YouTube to know when this virus will leave or when we will have the vaccine. I was watching it because it gave me lot of hope. I was worried about my family and friends, about their health, jobs and kids not going to school, when I was watching or hearing these Astrologers I thought at least one person’s prediction might come true. There were few Astrologers who told things will be better from the last week of March, many predicted things will be much better starting May 20 and the remaining predicted June 1st week. We know this virus is still very much active and none of the predictions have come true. What triggered me to write this post is a whatsapp forward from my friend which I watched yesterday. Someone in the name of predicting the future spoke completely rubbish. I don’t think this person like many others know anything about Astrology. Well, if the Astrologers had known the subject they would have predicted Covid-19 when 2020 started, it is not possible to call this year is going to be hit by a virus, they would have at least studied the planetary position and warned us about the pandemic, job loss and the possible recession. It will be fun to watch what some of the Astrologers said when 2020 started, it is going to be one of the Best Year.

What I have never liked about Astrology is the pariharam, this refers to doing some puja or ritual which the Astrologers says so that the evil affects or anything bad that might happen to someone based on the planetary position is minimized. There are people who have spent in thousands and lakhs believing these Astrologers. According to me this is where Astrology became commercial and this is where anyone without even reading the science started predicting or forecasting for others. Assuming if we do the pariharam the bad thing wont happen, everyone can commit any sin and start doing pariharam, what happens to karma? Alternatively when a child is born, parents can find out from an Astrologer what are all the pariharam that must be done when the child grows up and start doing the pariharam at the respective age. Will this ensure a problem free life. It is high time people realize Astrology practiced by many is commercial and they must stay away from these money minded people.

According to me whatever has to happen will happen, I believe in Karma. We must think nice and be nice to everyone. We must eat well, sleep well and definitely do some walking or running and yoga. Immunity is very essential to fight Covid-19 or any other virus and our blood should have good Vitamin D or we must take Vitamin D supplement. Please check my earlier Blog about Vitamin D which might be of help to you – https://rainbow-thoughts.com/2020/04/26/importance-of-vitamin-d/ . We all can continue with our prayers this Covid-19 must leave this World soon or the World must have a vaccine or medicine soon so that our normal life returns. Lets be nice to everyone and lets live a normal life. Lets all continue with our prayers so that we all and most importantly the children will have a better future.

My Travel Diary Delhi

I had traveled to Delhi few times in the past but was not lucky to go around Delhi. All my business trips to Delhi were during the weekdays and I could not see Delhi. I had been to Delhi to watch the formula one race at Buddh Circuit, Noida. During this trip the only purpose of visiting Delhi was to watch my icon Michael Schumacher. Finally, I was able to go around Delhi when I traveled in 2018. We were staying at our relative’s place at Gurgaon for two days and we stayed at Holiday Inn near Airport for three days. I was always thinking Bangalore, the garden city of India, is greener. When I went around Delhi I started thinking Delhi is more greener. I could see more trees in Delhi and I was imagining the early morning running or walking Delhiites can enjoy. Apart from the plenty of places to see in and around Delhi, what I liked the most is the quality of food in all the restaurants we went.

Day One – We took the early morning flight from Bangalore to Delhi. We reached our cousin’s place at Gurgaon in the afternoon. In the evening we went on a drive watching India Gate, Parliament of India and Rashtrapathi Bhavan. We returned to Gurgaon for dinner, our cousin took us to one the best Chinese restaurant. I don’t remember the name of the restaurant but will never forget the quality of food we were served. Finally, we went to Bikanervala for dessert.

Day Two – On day two we had nice breakfast at our cousin’s place. We went for a long drive around Delhi and we went to Gulati Restaurant for lunch. We also did some shopping in the famous bazaars. We visited Qutab Minar, Red Fort and India Gate.

Day Three – On day three we started early and traveled to Mathura and Vrindavan by car. Mathura is around 170 kilometres from Delhi and Vrindavan is only fifteen minutes drive from Mathura. Mathura is considered as the birth place of Krishna and Vrindavan is considered as the city where Krishna spent most of his childhood days. Cameras were not allowed in these holy temples, we visited few other beautiful temples in Mathura where we clicked some beautiful photos.

Prem Mandir, Vrindavan

Day Four – On day four we went to Taj Mahal. We had planned to spend the full day at Agra. We were lucky to click lot of nice photos at Taj Mahal. Finally, I visited one of the seven wonders of the world.

Day Five – On day five we went to Lotus Temple and Akshardham Temple. Both temples were beautiful and I can still look at these beautiful places when I close my eyes. I was allowed to click photos at Lotus Temple but a strict no at Akshardham. After visiting these temples we returned to our cousin’s place for lunch. We went out in evening for family dinner and late in the night we went to see the colorful Rashtrapathi Bhavan.

In my earlier trips to Delhi what I liked was the metro which connects Delhi, Gurgaon and Noida. In my 2018 trip to Delhi I saw the beauty of in and around Delhi. Delhi is greener than any other city in India. For someone who loves nature, Delhi will bring smile in our faces looking at the number of trees. As mentioned earlier, what I also liked in Delhi is the quality of food at the restaurants we visited. I definitely want to visit Delhi few more times on a holiday, wish formula one returns to India. I can see Delhi one more time and watch a formula one race live.

My Travel Diary Europe IV

After travelling to London, Manchester, Milan, Venice, Switzerland, Brno, Budapest, Prague and Vienna in Europe, I was lucky to get one more travel opportunity to Europe. This time it was to France – Lyon and Paris. It was again a business travel for 2 months with my team. I took Emirates from Bangalore to Lyon. On reaching Lyon Airport I took a cab to reach the service apartment. The service apartment was located on a beautiful road with lots of trees on both sides. I checked in the service apartment and was very happy to see a nice kitchen with all essentials for cooking. It was winter and the weather was very cold but pleasant. We were getting used to the Europe Weather. Next day morning after having our breakfast, we took a small walk outside. We noticed a park and we went in, this is one the most beautiful park I had gone. This park also had a Zoo, I immediately planned a visit to Zoo one of the weekend. Since, the weather was very cold, I used to walk on the service apartment corridor during weekdays and during the weekend I used to visit this park to run and practice yoga. We were a small team and we used to cook our food everyday. As usual we were busy with work during weekdays and during the weekend we used to go around Lyon and also visited Paris one of the weekend.

Beautiful Park opposite the Service Apartment at Lyon

Visit to Zoo The Zoo was on the other side of the park. One of the weekend I took my camera and went in. I had one of the best evening clicking those beautiful animals and birds. This Zoo attracted lot of elders and children, there is nothing better than watching children having fun. Both the park and zoo was so scenic and I can never forget the beauty of this place.

Paris My friend and me took a fast train from Lyon to Paris one of the weekend. On reaching Paris we had a nice welcome by nature with very heavy downpour. We thought we will never be able to go around Paris as it was continuing to rain non stop. We decided lets forget the rain and start going around Paris. Our positive start was acknowledged by rains coming to a stop. We started the Paris trip by visiting Cathedral Notredame De Paris. We were here for a while and then took a cruise to Eiffel Tower. We booked our tickets to go to the top of Eiffel Tower. It was a beauty to watch Paris from the top. In the evening we went to Louvre Museum and we again returned to Eiffel Tower to watch the light show.

Lyon and Paris are one the most Beautiful Places I have traveled. What I like about any place in Europe is the public transport. What I like even better about Europe is its Beauty. We can keep looking at the photos we clicked any number of times. I want to go on a holiday to Europe, spend a week in Paris and Switzerland, a week in Budapest and Belgium, finally a week at London.

Hopefully Covid-19 will leave this World soon and we all will be able to plan our holiday. Be Safe and Take Care.

Lessons from Covid-19

Today I complete six weeks of house arrest and must admit this is one of the best learning experience for me. This learning is better than what I learnt in school, college and at work. Numbers are still climbing and I only hope the hot weather and astrological predictions will help us see the numbers come down from May 5, 2020 and we will also have the vaccine at the earliest. It is very sad many have lost their lives and I can’t imagine the hard times people are going through when their dear ones get admitted in hospital and they cannot even spend time with them in person when their dear ones leave the world. Once, the lock down is lifted and things return to normal there are many things that won’t be the same. I don’t know how many will lose their jobs, how many companies will have the cash to pass through recession, how many will default in loan payments and what will happen to their investments, very hard to even imagine. This Covid-19 is one way helping us understand the basics of life and what is essential for our future. Here is my list of learning and how things will change in post Covid-19 days.

LCP We are all used to the term Business Continuity Plan, BCP. The purpose of BCP is to make sure the essential services are rendered to Customers as Business Usual even during an emergency or calamity. None of us would have imagined that we will be sitting in our homes for weeks and months because of a virus. The worst hit are the senior citizens who cannot do their morning walk, cannot go to hospital for check up and have no other choice but to watch the TV News and keep worrying more. Am also worried about kids less than 10 years who are missing their school and cannot even step out and play. Parents have no other choice but to force their children to watch YouTube and TV. All of us must now assume we might have this lock down every year and do a Life Continuity Plan, LCP so that we take care of our family members well.

Work From Home As mentioned in one of my earlier Blog, My Covid-19 Experience, one thing that has zero impact during the lock down days is work. During the post Covid-19 days many organizations will ask their employees to work from home if there is no requirement for them to come to office and if they don’t have face to face meeting with their Customer. This will help Companies reduce cost of operations and this will also help employees to either do more work or do their personal work during the hours they use for commute. In a city like Bangalore where most people have to spend around 2 hours in their car, bike, bus or metro to commute to office, working from home will help them have this 2 hours at their disposal. This also means lesser pollution on the road and people who cannot work from home can have a safer drive or ride to work. Companies will also think when employees can work from home, it doesn’t matter whether their home is in India or US, Bangalore or Chennai or any village. Companies will allow their employees to work from any location and people on assignment in International Location might be hit hard. They might be asked to return to their homes in India and work from home.

Business Travel Airline and Hotel Industry will be hit very hard for a year or two as people will neither travel for Business nor for Pleasure. With the talks on pay cut and job loss people will not have the mind to go on a vacation to enjoy.

Animal Life and Nature These are the best days for wildlife and nature. Most of the dirty looking cities now look beautiful. Quality of Air is extremely good. The wildlife will be happy to roam around in their homes which is the forest as the poachers and hunters will also be in their homes going through lock down. I have started thinking it is better we have compulsory lock down for at least 4 weeks in a year, this will help the wildlife and nature immensely.

Personal Lock Down – It will be good if we have understood the benefits of lock down and go through a self imposed lock down for at least 2 weekends in a month. This will help us do the domestic work ourselves and will help us have better health by not eating the junk food which we normally eat during the weekends. We can have good time with our family at home, do domestic work, watch some nice movies on Netflix and write a Blog or read books.

Social Distancing and Hygiene This is not something new for us in India. What was taught by our Parents when we were kids we forgot it for many years. Now, most of the world has learnt the importance of social distancing. The only way we can stay away from any virus in future is by Social Distancing and maintaining good Hygiene.

Social Media Distancing It is very important during these tough days we stay away from Whatsapp forward. Most of the forwards are not checked, they can be fake and other than bringing fear on our minds it does nothing. I have also learnt that it also makes sense to stay away from most of the News Channel. The only News channel that I watch is WION. They hardly have any debates and they show what happens around the World as an information.

Fitness I always liked running in Beach, Lake and Park. I have been doing this for ages and am not comfortable to run even around my community. Today, I have learnt that Walking and Yoga is enough, I walk inside my house for a hour every day and do pranayama, surya namskar and few asanas when I start my day. Post Covid-19 I will go back to running inside my community and continue with yoga at home. I must also get exposed to sunlight regularly as this is the main source for Vitamin D.

Covid-19 has helped me learn some of the basics in life. Hopefully I will make use of this learning in future and be a better person. I will be very happy if you could share your views or your learning in the comments section, lets learn from each other.

My Travel Diary Europe III

After completing my stay at Milan, I got an opportunity to travel to Brno in Czech Republic for 5 weeks. As usual I took Emirates from Bangalore to reach Vienna. I took a cab to reach Holiday Inn at Brno. Holiday Inn is one of the best hotels I have stayed. We were six of us on business travel and we had booked independent rooms for stay. We have also negotiated well for a kitchen. We were having a feast for dinner everyday. We used to split the kitchen work and we had a chef in our group who used to cook some very good vegetarian dishes. We were also served very good breakfast by Holiday Inn. They also had a nice gym, I used to wake up at 5am and complete my running and yoga. We were occupied with work most of the weekdays and we had the weekends to go around Brno and also visit the neighboring holiday destinations. We were lucky to visit Prague, Vienna and Budapest.

Brno Brno is a small city in Czech Republic. Holiday Inn was located opposite a very scenic place. We had visited Brno in November and December and hence, it used to snow regularly. There were not much places to see in Brno and the only place where I saw lot of people was in a Mall.

Prague Prague is the largest city in Czech Republic. Prague is known for Old Town Square and colorful buildings. Like Switzerland whatever or wherever we click in Prague will be a delight to our eyes. After reaching Prague by train, we started walking to Charles Bridge. It was November and the weather was very cold. We had a nice hot coffee and started visiting all the famous places. We visited Prague Castle, Old Town Square, Prague Astronomical Clock, Dancing House and Wenceslas Sqaure.

Vienna Vienna is the capital of Austria and is known for palaces. We were in Vienna for a day and hence, we have to see the famous places quickly. Luckily the team had done a very nice planning and we were able to visit most of the important places. We straight went to Schonbrunn Palace and spent more than 2 hours here. Then, we visited The Hofburg and Prater. In the night we went to Vienna State Opera.

Budapest Budapest is the capital of Hungary. When I think of Budapest I immediately remember and see the Beautiful Bridges on my mind. We reached Budapest early in the morning and straight went to Hungarian Parliament Building. From here we went to Buda Castle. We then walked to Chain Bridge and also visited the other bridges for clicks. We were also at the Heroes Square before taking our train back to Brno.

We had the best 5 weeks at Brno. As a team we were able to spend lot of time together and we visited these wonderful holiday destinations. I always love travelling to Europe as we get to see some nice palaces, bridges, buildings and most importantly we will see nature at its best. Public Transport is best in Europe and it becomes easier to visit few countries during the weekend and have very nice memorable time.

My Travel Diary Europe II

I always like traveling to Europe whether its work or holidays. Even when I go on work, during the weekend I can go around few cities, meet nice people, click some very nice photos and relax my mind.

I got an opportunity to travel to Milan for 2 months with a small team around 3 years back. I took my favorite Emirates to Milan and had a nice drive from Airport to service apartment in a Mercedes Benz. Each one of us took an independent one BHK apartment. Most of us were vegetarian and the kitchen with Microwave and vessels gave a nice start to our stay. We had carried the required home made spices for our food during the stay.

In my first few days of stay at Milan I noticed couple of things. One, it was very difficult to walk on the streets because most of them were smoking and the air was filled with nicotine. My throat is very sensitive and I was finding it extremely difficult to walk on the streets. I used to go to a nearby park in the morning for walk. I used to run when I was in Chennai and after moving to Bangalore I was only walking. What I noticed in this park was everyone was running. This gave me lot of motivation to start running again. I started running everyday and during the weekend I was running more than 7 kilometres at ease in this park. Today I run around 10 kilometres in 45 minutes, thanks to my Milan Trip.

Our weekdays were filled with work and meetings. We were commuting to office by Metro. In the evenings I used to cook my dinner and go out for a small walk. We were a small team and we had some nice time in the evenings and we also traveled to my favorite destination Venice and Switzerland. One of the weekend I also took a bus to Monza circuit. There was no Formula 1 or MotoGP race when I was at Milan. I still was lucky enough to walk around the circuit and click some nice pictures.

Venice we went to Venice by Bus and on arrival at Venice we were welcomed with “You are lucky to see Venice, Venice is sinking”. I didn’t understand this until I started understanding what was told from internet and the recent rains in Venice. At Venice we went to St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, Rialto Bridge, Saint Mark’s Basilica, Grand Canal, Bridge of Sighs and Murano. We also took the famous gandola ride for a hour to go around Venice. We were also lucky to visit one of the glass factory at Venice.

Switzerland This is always my favorite destination. We took a bus to Zurich and from here we visited Zurich Lake. We took a train to Lucerne and Mt. Titlis. I wanted to go to Schumacher’s house and click a photo of myself in front of his house, but did not have the time. I was hoping I will get a chance to see and click Federer but was not lucky. We were having very nice time playing at Mt.Titlis. What I liked about Switzerland is everything was clean, colorful and anything I clicked here looks beautiful.

Switzerland must be the most Beautiful place on Earth, it’s my dream to go to Switzerland on a vacation and stay for at least a month. For someone who loves Nature, there is no better place than Switzerland. This time I will definitely to go to Schumacher’s house for a selfie in front of his house.

My Travel Diary Europe I

I have always admired the beauty of Europe on Television and Internet. I first traveled to Europe around 7 years back and it still lives on my mind so fresh. My work took me to a place near Leeds for few months. During the weekdays it was only work and this place did not have much to see. One great experience I wont forget during my stay here is the snowfall. Coming from India I have never experienced snow. On one of the evenings the weather forecast was snow and we were eagerly waiting for the moment. I traveled with a team and when it started snowing, we came out of our rooms, clicked lot of photos and were also playing. After this wonderful experience I have never enjoyed snowfall much, it becomes difficult to commute to work.

During our stay near Leeds, weekend was fun and I had been to Manchester once and London few times. Manchester was exactly a hour by Bus and London was around 5 hours. I have made the advance booking for my trips and also planned what to see.

Manchester The Bus drive to Manchester was so scenic and beautiful. I wanted to click lot of pictures but couldn’t. As the bus was approaching Manchester everything was red. All the houses were painted red and anything I see is red. Those days I used to watch English Premier League and during the days of Christaino Ronaldo I was a fan of Manchester United. After the bus dropped me at Manchester, I took a metro to Manchester United Stadium and I have also made reservation to Manchester United Museum Tour. As part of the tour, we were taken around the stadium, we were taken to players room, players box and what was exciting is we were even allowed to wear players jersey and shoes and also have a look at the trophies.

London I traveled to London few times and this is one of the most beautiful place I had been to. My friend was in London and he took me around to few of the important places. I also went around London by Red Bus few times. I went around Tower Bridge, London Eye, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace, The Shard, Greenwich observatory, Lords Stadium and Madame Tussauds. Am a vegetarian and I enjoyed my lunch at Woodlands located in Paddington. I also had a nice walk at Hyde Park. One important place I missed going is Wimbledon, hopefully I will go on a personal tour to London soon and I wont miss visiting Wimbledon.

I had been to all the most important places in Europe, I will write about these in my next blogs. What I like about Europe is we can see Nature at its Best. What I also like about Europe is the Public Transport. If it is an International Holiday my choice will be always Europe. I love nature and naturally I love Europe.

My Travel Diary B.R. Hills

I went to B.R. Hills around 3 years back and I still remember my visit to this place well and am just waiting for life to return to normal in India so that I can visit B.R. Hills one more time during the weekend.

Where is B.R. Hills – Biligirirangan Hills is located at around 180 kilometres from Bangalore. This is the ideal weekend place with family from Bangalore. Drive from my place is around 4 hours, so we can leave on Friday evening and return home on Sunday. During the winter temperature can drop to around 10 to 15 Celsius, this is the best time to visit B.R. Hills.

Stay at B.R. Hills – I always like staying at Jungle Lodges and thankfully we have K.Gudi Wilderness camp run by Jungle Lodges here. The location of K.Gudi camp is so scenic and you will get to see lot of birds around their camps. The added advantage of staying here is they arrange Jungle Safari early in the morning and evening. If we are lucky we can spot a Tiger and we will definitely see Deer, Monkey, Elephant and lot of Birds.

Things to do in B.R. Hills – I must always start my day running or walking and also do a little bit of Yoga. The early morning Trekking followed by yoga here will be a nice experience. We will get to see lot of Birds and also few elephants around K.Gudi Wilderness Camp. We don’t have Televisions and this must be one of the best place to relax our mind and have a quiet sleep.

Jungle Lodges is known for Jungle Safari. Jungle Lodges has the permission to go deep inside the forest and if we are lucky we can spot a Tiger. I went on Safari twice but could not spot a Tiger. I was able to spot few animals and there were plenty of rare birds.

Other Places around B.R. Hills – Biligiri Rangaswamy Temple is around 5 kilometres from K.Gudi camp and is located at the top of B.R. Hills. Drive to this temple and the view from top of this hill is beautiful.

B.R. Hills is a nice place for 2 days break and the most ideal place for people like me in Bangalore. We can reach this place in 4 hours and the moment we hit Nice Road we will be out of Traffic. Am waiting for Covid-19 to leave and life to return to normal so that I can plan a trip to B.R. Hills.

We can see Nature at its best in B.R. Hills, we can see some wildlife and we can have the ideal break.

Leave This World Covid-19

Covid-19 has already infected around a million people and more than 40,000 are dead. The only positive thing for many in India until April 2nd 2020 is the virus has not made any major impact in India.

I want to look at what is done in India and appreciate some of the positives.

Waking up early – Thanks to Government for waking up early and educating all of us about this virus. We started preparing to fight this virus well on time so that a population of around 1.3 Billion will have no major impact.

Bold Actions – I must Thank the Government again for taking some bold actions like closure of International Airport across India, Screening of Passengers on Arrival, Lock down for 3 weeks and the way this is enforced. The only concern here is there are very few people who step out when they should not. I only hope that they understand the importance and stay at home next 2 weeks and follow the guidelines issued by Government.

Awareness to Public – Thank you Media, Mobile Companies and Social Media for educating us about this virus, do’s and don’ts and the online reports of how this virus is impacting every country with numbers.

Social Distancing and Hygiene – This is not something new for us in India. What was taught by our Parents when we were kids we forgot it for many years. Now, the only way to stay away from this virus is Social Distancing and Hygiene. Am also of the opinion that Social Media Distancing will also help in facing this issue without any fear. There are too many forwards which might be fake, reading and watching videos might bring more fear to us.

Essential Services – A Big Thanks to people who are part of Grocery and Vegetable stores, Medical Shops, Hospitals, Police and Armed Forces, Doctors and Nurses. Milkman, Bank employees who risk their life and service all of us. They are all doing a splendid job and making our lives safe and easier.

Positive Medical Reports and Astrological Predictions – Some of the Medical Reports that are published by leading Doctors explaining about Immunity, Malaria and Hot Weather in India and the Astrologers giving hope considering the planetary positions, help us to stay positive with the hope things will be better soon.

Last few days, some close people of mine passed away in my native place due to old age or health issue. They might be alive if this virus was not there as they would have got the medical attention on time. What is very disturbing is that I can’t even travel to my native, these are the toughest days we all are experiencing. Let’s continue our prayers, stay at home and get rid of this virus soon.

Covid-19 is helping all to understand what is important in our lives and is teaching the Basics of life and Demonstrating how each one of us is prepared to handle a crisis like this. Am confident India will win this battle against Covid-19 very soon and I also hope other affected Countries will also win this battle soon. It is very sad that many have already lost their lives to this deadly virus. It is very important people co-operate with Government and Stay at Home. This will help them, their family and others.

I only hope we humans are kind to other humans, animals and nature. Let’s all give a Better Life to all the Children as they Deserve a Better One. Stay at home and Stay Safe. Covid-19 will leave this World soon.
